It’s going to be difficult to do during the holidays.

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Alan Purisima was one of at least 50 other police officials aged 40 and older who underwent their annual medical checkups and physical fitness tests at the PNP multi-purpose center in Camp Crame on Fri, Nov 21.

“Doctors who examined Purisima, who turned 55 that day, told him to go on a diet as he was at increased risk for hypertension,” reports Cecille Suerte Felipe in The Philippine Star.

PNP General Hospital spokesman Chief Inspector Raymond Santos revealed that Purisima’s blood pressure, recorded at 130/80, put him “in the pre-hypertension stage.”

So, he was told “to observe his diet and do some exercise to improve his health.”

The report noted: “Purisima, however, remains tight-lipped on the issue of his unexplained wealth.”
