In an Instagram post shortly after his defeat courtesy of Manny Pacquiao, American boxer Chris Algieri said that he went about his usual post-fight ritual of eating a burger.
However, Algieri pointed out that it was his first non-victory burger as a progfessional boxer. His loss to Pacquiao puts his record at 20 wins-1 loss.
Algieri’s Instagram post was actually a collage featuring shots of his post-fight meal and one of him and Pacquiao.
He wrote this caption: “Well [it] is not a victory burger but I still had my signature post fight meal! Pacquiao is a great champion and [it] was an honor to share a ring with him here in Macao. I will take this as a learning experience and come back better than ever. Thank you for all the support and well wishes!”
