Even if we say it’s too early to talk about this, it seems we can’t avoid it.

“Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, November 25, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV revealed that he is among four candidates that the Nacionalista Party (NP) is considering to be its standard bearer,” reports Ryan Chua on  ABS-CBNnews.com.

Trillanes said that the other NP potential candidates are former Senator Manuel Villar, who ran but lost in the 2010 presidential race, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, and Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The report noted: “The NP has not yet begun the formal process of selecting its presidential candidate, but Trillanes said he has been preparing for it since the second quarter of this year.”

For now, Trillanes shared that he “is focusing on the economic aspects of governance, which he says is his weakness.”

He was quoted as saying, “Kanya-kanyang individual preparation. We do the rounds and we prepare our own program of government.”
