Oh, Metro Manila, what’s happening?

“At around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, Joshua Jericho Ramirez, 32, grabbed hold of saleslady Danica Dacer, 19, while she was walking in front of a shop in Barangay 86 in Monumento, Caloocan City,” reports Johnson Manabat on ABS-CBNnews.com.

According to Police Chief Insp. Reynaldo Medina Jr., Ramirez, who was armed with a screwdriver, said he wanted to talk to his mother.

The report noted: “After a 15-minute negotiation with the police, Ramirez eventually released Dacer.”

Both Ramirez and Dacer were brought to the hospital for medical check-up. It was confirmed that Ramirez “was under the influence of illegal drugs.”

Needless to say, Ramirez will be facing charges.
