And here we thought they were going to keep quiet for a while.
“Joey Salgado, Vice President Jejomar Binay’s spokesman, recently reacted to people who commented that his boss is copying the old campaign tack of Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas,” reports JC Bello Ruiz in Manila Bulletin.
Binay has been going on market tours lately. In the past, Roxas, who had served as Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary, had been given the moniker, “Mr. Palengke.” Critics implied that my going on his so-called palengke tours, Binay is “invading” Roxas’ territory.
Salgado said that Binay is not a copycat of Roxas. “What sets them apart is the Vice President does the marketing himself,” Salgado said.
Well, if they say so.
