Remember when Kapuso star Aljur Abrenica surprised everyone last July by saying he wanted to be free from his GMA Artist Center management contract? Everyone thought that he wanted to be free from the network, the network that made him. However, he eventually clarified that he wanted to cut ties from management, not the TV station.
He enlisted the help of Atty. Ferdinand Topacio and filed a case, and while there’s no update on the case, we saw less of Aljur in the Kapuso Network.
Recently there was a rumor he was withdrawing the case filed but Atty. Ferdinand Topacio said it’s not true.
Now we’ve got some update. Arniel Serato of Pep.ph got to interview Aljur recently and the actor shared that he’s always been in communication with the network and that while he cannot say much about the case, he told the reporter that “very soon babalik din ako.”
The actor was honest and open enough to share: “As a man, sometimes hindi ka tao kasi kung… hindi ka tao kung hindi tayo nagkakamali. And yes, meron akong pagsisisi and meron din akong pagpapasalamat.
As a whole, he is thankful because he also got to spend time with his family and focus on the family business. He also credited GMA Artist Center for continuing to do their job. “Sa kabila ng lahat andyan pa rin sila for me. They keep on sending me schedules, trabaho. Hindi nila ako pinabayaan.”
