Pacman selling Forbes Park mansion because neighbors allegedly complained about his ‘poor’ guests

If this is true, then it’s really very disturbing.

“World boxing champion Manny Pacquiao said on Thursday, November 27, he would sell his mansion in one of the Philippine capital’s swankiest areas after his neighbors complained of his visitors wearing shabby clothing,” reports Agence France-Presse (AFP).

That’s contrary to what people assumed when reports about the possible sale of the mansion broke out earlier. Many had thought Pacquiao was selling the property to cope with his tax woes.

According to Pacquiao, he has “apologised to his neighbors, though some understood why he was accommodating poor visitors.”

Nevertheless, Pacquiao said in Filipino, “If there’s somebody who is willing to buy, I’m going to sell it.”

The report noted: “Pacquiao acquired the property for PHP400 million pesos (US$9 million) in 2011.”

The report also revealed that “the three-storey mansion — in a neighborhood that is home to Manila’s old rich — has five bedrooms, several reception and dining halls, and an office.
