Hardworking restaurateur Erwan Heussaff whose empire includes Niner Ichi Nana, Hatch 22 and Crisp on 28th, just to name a few, is still on overdrive. He still has a couple of projects in the pipeline including The Red Light, which he will be debuting soon.
Located at the foot of a quaint building along Felipe Street in Barangay Poblacion, Makati — where El Chupacabra is — the space will act as a playground for chefs, restaurateurs and bartenders who want to stage their original concepts a couple of nights a week. The outdoor bar and 12-counter seat show kitchen aims to showcase culinary creativity at play. Here, you may see new ideas come to full fruition.
Think Ilan Hall’s “Knife Fight” TV show. On some days, willing chefs get to throw everything down for a friendly competition. Or cooks can reserve the space, serve their guests restaurant-style and be a chef for the day. The possibilities are endless.
So if you see the red light on, you know something good is cooking. Stay glued to Coconuts Manila as we notify you of upcoming events at The Red Light.
