This is just one of the things that could happen when a driver nods off at the wheel.
“Three policemen were injured after a bus crashed into their patrol car near the EDSA-Balintawak area in Quezon City early Tuesday, December 2,” reports ANC.
The report noted: “The bus hit the patrol car from behind. The impact was so strong that the patrol car was somewhat thrown off the area.”
The bus driver, who was not named in the report admitted that he had asleep at the wheel. He said he “couldn’t help it because he had been on the road for almost 24 hours non-stop.”
According to Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station 1, the three policemen were able to go home after being treated at a hospital.
However, their patrol car, may be permanently out of commission. You only have to look at the photo of the wrecked car to make that conclusion.
