He’s following a tragic plot.
“Former ‘bold actor’ Anton Bernardo (Laurence Mendres in real life) was arrested at a police checkpoint in Quezon City over the weekend for carrying sachets and strips of aluminum foil said to contain methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu,” reports Reinir Padua in The Philippine Star.
The report noted: “Bernardo was flagged down at the checkpoint along Main Avenue in Barangay Socorro for driving a motorcycle without a helmet at around 5 a.m. Sunday. Police officers who frisked the former actor, a resident of nearby Barangay E. Rodriguez, reported finding the drugs and drug paraphernalia on his person.”
Now, Bernardo is facing charges for driving without a helmet and possessing illegal drugs.
Bernardo starred in movies like 1999’s Sa Paraiso ni Efren.
