Then again, how do we know if the man was really a taxi driver? He could have been just another criminal pretending to be one.

In the early hours of Wed, Dec 10, a woman named Floramae Alberto flagged down a taxi at Magallanes Avenue. She asked to be brought to Mother Ignacia Avenue in Quezon City.

“Alberto said the taxi driver took an unfamiliar route but she paid it no mind since she did not know the way to her destination. She added that she felt comfortable because the driver spoke in Cebuano like she did,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

When they reached Barangay Pinyahan in Quezon City, the driver reportedly stopped the cab and said he had to relieve himself.

The next thing Alberto knew, the driver was beside her, demanding that she hand over her belongings to him.

The report noted: “Alberto said the driver took her bag and cellphone, which had a PHP500 bill tucked inside. The driver then left the scene, leaving her behind.”

No other details about the driver or the vehicle he was in was given in the report. Investigation is ongoing.
