The time has come when devout Catholics will wake up at the wee hours of the morning to attend mass for nine days straight, leading to Misa de Gallo, which happens on Christmas Eve. Lots of people have made it a tradition, same with having a proper breakfast right after Simbang Gabi. MAKATI: Wildflour Café + Bakery
Starting Dec 16, everybody’s favorite neighborhood restaurant café opens its doors at 6am and cranks up sure-to-satisfy breakfast dishes until 3pm. Practically everything in its menu is a must-try, including the German pancakes that’s served with vanilla yogurt, fried chicken and waffles, whole wheat waffles, and the Beef Short Rib Benedict. Chef Ed Bugia wants to make sure you eat well after your spiritual nourishment and so that’s exactly what he has prepared in his restaurant. This restaurant certainly doesn’t mind serving you good food anytime of day. It’s open 24 hours, and serves hundreds of its yummy rice-a-bowls each day. SAN JUAN: Angel’s Kitchen
With dishes like the Soft Shell Crab Salad, Chili Tinapa with Artichoke Pasta and the infamous Pinakbet Rice with Lechon Kawali and Chocolate Bagoong, it won’t be a surprise if people coming from the church will flock to this restaurant right after.
