We recently came across teen stars Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, and Ramon Bautista when they surprised a school and a couple of residential units in Quezon City by carolling earlier than usual and giving away free snack packs (together with fellow Oishi endorsers Elmo Magalona and Slater Young). This was part of their “O, Wow” campaign for awesome chichirya brand Oishi, and since Christmas is just around the corner, we asked them some Christmas-related questions. And nope, we’re not talking about whether they like fruitcake or not.

What are your favorite Christmas songs?
For carolling, yung “Jingle Bells,” pero favorite ko talaga yung kay John Lennon, yung “So This is Christmas.”
What’s the most memorable Christmas gift you’ve received?
Yung binigyan ako ng mama ko ng scooter. Tagal na nun, mga seven lang ako nun. Gusto ko talaga pero diko sinasabi sa kanya. Bigla na lang binigyan nya ko.
What’s the worst Christmas gift you’ve recieved?
Wala naman, na–a-appreciate ko naman maalala ka lang.
When was the last time you were surprised?
Nung birthday ko na-surprise ako. Diko alam na may party pala kasi yung bago kami lumipat sabi ni mama, “Dun tayo mag celebrate sa bagong bahay, kahit mag-set up lang tayo ng tables.” Sabi ko okay. Tapos pinapunta ako dun. Sa harapan ng bahay may mga tables, may buffet, akala ko yun na yun. Sabi nya, “Anak tignan mo yung likod pinalagyan ko ng semento para sa court mo.” Pagdating ko, ayun na, andun lahat ng tao.

“Jingle Bells.” Ay, no, “Last Christmas” pala!
What’s the most memorable Christmas gift you’ve received?
Mahirap mamili! So best Christmas gift [I want to receive] in the future na lang. Pag puwede na ako mag-travel with my friends, yun ang best Christmas gift if ever. Like in Hong Kong lang or Korea.
What’s the worst Christmas gift you’ve received?
Choosy pa ba ako? Binigyan na nga nila ako ng gift eh! Hahaha!
RAMON BAUTISTA
What’s the worst Christmas gift you’ve received?
Wala naman kasi yung mga mug, medyas, fruitcake, na–a-appreciate ko pa din yan in the spirit of giving.
What’s your favorite Christmas song?
“Jingle Bells,” kasi nung bata ako yun lang yung alam ko, mali pa nga yung lyrics. Sabi ko “jingambells.”
When was the last time you went carolling?
Pag dumadating ninong at ninang ko nangangaroling ako kahit hindi pasko, para kiligin sila, maalala nila yung kabataan nila!
What’s your Christmas wish?
World peace, love, at sana yung traffic sa EDSA mabawasan ng konti.
