We still have a couple of weeks left before we finally say goodbye to the year 2014, but different best-of lists are already sprouting like people who want to audition for Pinoy Big Brother. Google has just released various lists of trending topics in 2014, and we want to share the most famous TV shows in the country this year because, well, we’re huge TV monsters.

1. Meteor Garden

Meteor Garden
ABS-CBN made a brilliant move when they decided to bring back the show last April. Apparently, many Pinoys are still fans of the Taiwanese show and its stars. Many missed the show.

2. The Heirs

The Heirs
Just one of the many Korean shows that’s made it big in the Philippines, this one stars Lee Min Ho, who has visited the country and has a huge fanbase. The series is about a group of wealthy high school students and their love lives, so yeah, you can look at it as Gossip Girl, we guess.

3. Angel Eyes

Angel Eyes
Another series from Korea, Angel Eyes aired on ABS-CBN and is a love story involving a blind woman who regains her sight and crosses paths with her first love.

4. Pinoy Big Brother: All In

Pinoy Big Brother: All In
ABS-CBN’s Big Brother series continues to be a hit. Its latest season did not just trend several times, it also produced new stars such as Loisa Andalio, Manolo Pedrosa, Maris Racal, Fourth and Fifth Pagotan, and grand winner Daniel Matsunaga.

5. The Legal Wife

The Legal Wife
This ABS-CBN primetime series starring Angel Locsin, Jericho Rosales, Maja Salvador and JC de Vera was a reminder that Pinoys are still huge fans of catfights and quotable quotes and, well, cheating. This show made a lot of buzz online, too, coz of all the memes one of its scenes produced.

6. The Voice Kids

The Voice Kids
Just like The Voice of the Philippines, the junior version of the hit show proved to be a rater for ABS-CBN, spawning new talents Lyca Gairanod (champion) and fan favorite Darren Espanto.

7. The Voice of the Philippines

The Voice of the Philippines
ABS-CBN struck gold when they got the rights to the local version of the popular international hit show. Apart from discovering new talents (winner Mitoy Yonting) and rediscovering old ones (Radha Cuadrado), the show also boosted the career of its judges: Lea Salonga, Bamboo Manalac, Sarah Geronimo, and Apl.de.ap.

8. Got to Believe

Got to Believe
This is the rom-com that made the love team of Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo HUGE. Endorsements and magazine covers and features followed. The ABS-CBN show and the two lead stars also trended several times.

9. Empress Ki

Empress Ki
This South Korean historical TV series currently aired on GMA 7 proves that Pinoys are still big fans of anything and everything Korean. While seemingly boring because it is a period show, it is empowering since it is about a woman who ends up being an empress of the Yuan Dynasty.

10. Ikaw Lamang

Ikaw Lamang
The primetime soap of ABS-CBN that aired from March to October 2014, which starred award-winning actors Coco Martin, Kim Chiu, KC Concepcion, and Jake Cuenca. Its first book was set in the ‘60s and ‘70s, which bored some viewers but the show redeemed itself eventually through high ratings.

Conclusion: ABS-CBN won this one.
