The recent raid of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) has shaken up the country’s prison system, as it exposed the posh accomodations of high-profile inmates.

By contrast, the inmates of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Dagupan City already feel privileged with the use of the ‘E-Dalaw’ service.

“The E-Dalaw service enables inmates to talk to their relatives online,” reports Aldrin Soriano on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The service is for inmates whose relatives and loved ones cannot make the trip to the prison.

The report noted: “The management of BJMP ensured that the E-Dalaw facility is well-guarded, with a security guard guarding each inmate using the computers.”
