He finally showed up.
“US Marine Pfc. Joseph Scott Pemberton finally appeared in public during his booking at the Olongapo Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 74 Friday morning, December 19,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Atty. Harry Roque, who represents the family of Jennifer Laude, managed to get a very brief video of Pemberton’s court appearance. It only lasts two seconds and offers only a “not that clear” glimpse of Pemberton from a few feet away.
Marilou Laude, sister of Jennifer, said seeing Pemberton in court brought mixed emotions.
The report noted: “Roque said they will file three motions today — a formal entry of appearance, for Pemberton to be detained in an Olongapo jail, and to allow the media to cover the court appearances of Pemberton.”
