The names of Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chair Francis Tolentino and DOJ Secretary Leila De Lima have been floating around as possible replacement of outgoing COMELEC Chief Sixto Brillantes, Jr.

“Comelec sources said Tolentino is being considered by Malacañang to replace Brillantes when he retires in February 2015 together with Commissioners Lucenito Tagle and Elias Yusoph,” reports Shiela Crisostomo on The Philippine Star.

The report adds: Also being eyed as Comelec chief, sources said, is Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, who was an election lawyer before joining the government. Tolentino specialized in public international law.

Interesting choices, no? What do you think, Coconauts? Who do you prefer?
