Comedian Dennis Padilla recently claimed that daughter Julia Barretto snubbed him at an event that happened last Dec 14, 2014.

And now Marjorie Barretto has spoken to defend their daughter Julia.

She told Erwin Santiago of Pep.ph through a phone interview that she is speaking up so that they won’t be perceived as guilty if they remain silent.

Marjorie, who wasn’t at the party, shared the story she got from Julia: for starters, she didn’t know her father was going to be there. There were lots of people outside and she was alone so “dire-diretso sya papasok,” unaware that Dennis was one of those outside.

The mother of the teen star also said that Dennis knows Julia’s number, that he could have just informed her that he’d also be there so they could see each other.

Ang point lang ni Julia, which I think tama naman, kung si Dennis naman ang unang nakakita sa kanya, bakit hindi sya ang unang bumati kay Julia?”

Juicy part? Marjorie said that when people told Julia that Dennis was inside, she was scared. This is because Julia and Dennis had a text exchange last Nov 25 where he sent her hurtful messages that traumatized her.

Let’s see if the two will get to patch things up in time for Julia’s debut this March.
