It’s a precious selfie, alright.

“When Pope Francis disembarked from the plane upon arrival at the Villamor Air Base, Pasay from Tacloban City last Saturday afternoon, January 18, he approached a girl on wheelchair with a facemask,” reports Edu Punay in The Philippine Star.

Pope Francis reportedly asked the girl, Tricia Farnacio, “Selfie?” She, of course, took out her mobile phone.

The report noted: “The 16-year-old suffering from kidney disease quickly shared her prized photo on Twitter and was so thankful that her effort to see the humble pontiff ‘was all worth it.'”

Farnacio, who is afflicted with a kidney condition, revealed that she was given a wheelchair by organizers after learning about her condition. She explained, “We cancelled my treatment in Tagaytay just to see the Pope. I was so nervous.”

Farnacio’s “selfie” with the Pope is the pontiff’s first in the Philippines.
