So, is there still port congestion?

“Amid changing government statements about the bottleneck at the Port of Manila, Shell Philippines as saying the upgrade of its Batangas refinery will be one quarter late because some supplies were stuck at the port,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

Shell Philippines chief Ed Chua explained that “the collapse of a Batangas bridge is making this worse.”

He quipped, “Work is delayed due primarily to port congestion. We are working on catch-up activities.”

The report noted: “The US$100 million upgrade will give Shell the capability to produce cleaner gasoline and diesel known as Euro 4, which oil companies have to sell by next year.”
