Earlier this month, the Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport in Tacloban City, Leyte was in the news because Pope Francis held mass near it. Now, it’s in the news again for a different reason.

“According to Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) spokesperson Eric Apolonio, a crew member of a Philippine Airlines (PAL) Express flight received information about a bomb inside the plane on Wednesday afternoon, January 28,” reports Henry Atuelan on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report noted: “Authorities immediately checked the Manila-bound plane for any explosives. However, no bombs or explosives were found inside the plane.

The report revealed that “airport operations were suspended for more than 30 minutes due to the bomb scare.”
