Seems like the French are taking over this week! The Brasspackers is a big brass band from France who will be playing their brand of festive music for a one-night only show at Café Cureiux. CHECK OUT THE GREAT BRITISH FESTIVAL

The Great British Festival is taking over the whole 1-kilometer stretch of Bonifacio High Street in Taguig. Each block dedicated to a topic or interest: there’s one for sports, another for fashion, another for education, and still another for tourism. And then there are events: a fashion show, and rockeoke on Friday; film screenings and a DJ set on Saturday; a cooking show, a screening of Sherlock, and a huge finale on Sunday. 5pm, Fri; 12:30pm,Sat; 1pm, Sun. GO TO A SCIENTIFIC SPEED DATING EVENT

SWING BY THE MAKER’S MARKET

EXPERIENCE HOLI FESTIVAL

Holi Festival is the biggest color festival in India. It celebrates the turn of winter into spring, by throwing colored powder up in the air, or to each other, to symbolize friendship, unity, and a sense of revelry. We don’t have winter or spring but during Holi, there is no distinction between age, race, or class. So, let’s all just party! GO TO MANILA TRANSITIO

Manila Transitio is an annual event to commemorate the Battle of Manila. This year, it also happens to be the closing event for Fringe Art Festival. It’s a two-part event: You can go full-length starting with the Celdran tour at 3pm, or you can just go to the art event that starts at 6pm. CHILL OUT TO LIVE CLASSICAL MUSIC AT THE PARK

‘A Night of Music in Makati’ is a free concert featuring the Manila Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Arturo Molina.
