Congratulations to Jason Dy of Team Sarah Geronimo, who won the second season of the ABS-CBN show The Voice of the Philippines last night, March 1, 2015, held at Resorts World Manila. He got a total of 52.94% of the votes.

Ending up in second place was Alisa Bonaobra of Tea, Apl.de.Ap .

Also part of the Top 4 were Rence Rapanot of team Bamboo (19.17%) and Leah Patricio of Team Lea Salonga (18.02%).

Jason is a 23-year old haranista from Butuan City who sang Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” during the blind auditions, “On Bended Knee” during the face-off, and “Jar of Hearts” when he competed with the others from Team Sarah. He also sang “Thinking Out Loud,” “OMG,” “Kahit Kailan,” and “Back at One” during the live shows.

So what did Jason take home as the winner? PHP2 million in cash, a house and lot, a brand new car, a music instrument package, a business package, an Asian tour for two, and a recording and managing contract with MCA Music. That’s a lot!
