Jolo Revilla to lawyer: ‘Heto, Attorney, nagkamali ako’

According to the Revilla family’s spokesman, Atty. Raymond Fortun, Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla is “sorry” for the shooting accident that happened while he was cleaning his gun last Sat morning, Feb 28.

“In an interview over dzMM on Sunday, March 1, Fortun said Revilla is now recovering at the intensive care unit (ICU) after undergoing a minor operation,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

Fortun said he was able to talk to Revilla and he expressed regret about what happened. When he asked Revilla about how he was, the young politician reportedly replied in Filipino, “Here I am, Attoney, I made a mistake.”

Fortun maintained that Revilla had accidentally pulled the trigger while he was cleaning his gun.

The lawyer added that Revilla was “coherent” and “lucid” while they were talking, despite being “a little bit groggy because of his medications.”

In light of their son’s predicament, Revilla’s parents The lawyer also said Revilla’s parents — Senator Bong Revilla and Cavite Representative Lani Mercado — are asking for prayers from the public.
