Everyone’s fingers are crossed as the elusive list of Asia’s 50 best restaurants for 2015 will finally be released next week. Sponsored by S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, the announcement will be held at Capella Singapore on March 9, Sunday. The prestigious roster was picked by an influential panel of over 300 key people in the food and beverage industry across Asia.
Last year, David Thompson’s Nahm in Bangkok, Thailand emerged on top, leaping from the third spot the year before. Runner-up is Narisawa in Tokyo, Japan, followed by Gaggan, then Amber in Hong Kong, China. Completing the fab five is Nihonryori Rugin in Japan.
No restaurant from the Philippines got drafted in 2014. But we are very hopeful that at least one will make it to the list this year.
