In places with rough terrain, it’s often a challenge to get letters and packages delivered.

Thus, the cops in the town of Sabangan in Mountain Province have taken on the added task of delivering the residents’ letters and packages.

“The Sabangan have an added advocacy, which they have been implementing through their ‘Pulis Ko, Kartero Ko’ or ‘My Policeman, My Mailman’ program,” reports ANC.

The report cited Senior Police Office 2 (SPO2) Elmo Gatawa, who explained, “Our station is near the highway. Most packages accumulate here. So we thought, when we patrol the area, we’ll just bring the letters with us and deliver them to residents.”

The Sabangan cops use a logbook to keep track of all the letters and packages that they deliver.
