Philippine food is up for a title once again. Thanks to BONO Gelato and gelato chef Zarah Zaragoza-Manikan, the Philippines vies for the prestigious title of World’s Best Galato in the upcoming Gelato World Tour. It will be held in Marina Bay Sands, in Singapore from Mar 20-22, 2015. BONO’s entry has been chosen as one of the top 16 Asia Pacific finalists up for the win.

The homegrown gelato brand used local flavors to represent the country. It combined our popular sweet mangoes with well-loved delicacy purple yam jam or ube halaya to come up with what it calls the ‘Mango Ube Symphony.’

“This uniquely Filipino pairing is a reflection of the country’s love for sweet desserts,” says Treena Cueva-Tecson, Marketing Director of BONO Gelato. “We are proud to represent the Philippines with a smooth mango gelato heightened with swirls of purple yam jam and accented with rum-soaked dried mango strips for a truly irresistible and colorful symphony of flavors.”

Here’s hoping for a sweet victory!

The Mango Ube Symphony will be available in all BONO branches soon.
