“Atty. Michael Angel Ventura III was pulled over by enforcers of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) along Tomas Morato at past 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, the first day of implementation of the breath analyzer test in accordance with the Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving Act,” Robertzon Ramirez in The Philippine Star.
According to LTO spokesman Jason Salvador, Ventura underwent a breath analyzer test and his blood alcohol content (BAC) was 0.12% or or two times higher than the allowed 0.05% percent of BAC.
Ventura was brought to the Quezon City prosecutor’s office for inquest proceedings on Fri, Mar 13.
According to the law, a non-professional driver who violates the law for the first time can be fined PHP20,000 to PHP80,000; jailed for three months; and have his license suspended for a year.
