How to make a Pinoy cocktail with… Very Old Captain Dark Rum

Discover cocktails you can make at home using local spirits and flavors. On this episode, mixologist Paul Lara has fun concocting three drinks using Very Old Captain artisan-crafted dark rum.

 

Banana Popsicle Daiquiri

Very Old Captain Dark Rum
Ingredients:
Add cubes of ice
30 ml Very Old Captain Rum
30 ml Creme Due Bananes
30 ml cranberry juice
7.5 ml Blue Curacao
Put all ingredients in a bar shaker.
Shake and strain to martini glass.
Garnish with a slice of banana.

 

Happily Ever After

Very Old Captain Dark Rum
Ingredients:
8-12 pcs. mint leaves
30 g of fresh apple
30 ml lime juice
Muddle all ingredients into a mixing glass.
Add ice.
45 ml Very Old Captain Rum
Shake and strain to a red wine glass.
Add fresh ice then top with 90ml club soda.
Garnish with 3 slices of Apple

 

Captain Slide

Very Old Captain Dark Rum Ingredients:
Add ice
30ml Very Old Captain Rum 15 ml coffee liqueur
15 ml  Irish cream
7.5 ml orange concentrate
Pour all ingredients into a bar shaker.
Shake and pour to a rock glass.
Squeeze some orange.
