Alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles said that there’s no truth to the rumor that her daughter, Jeane, was seen dining at a Pasay City Hotel earlier this month.
“Napoles revealed during an off-camera interview after her petition for bail hearing that Jeane is, in fact arriving from the United States next week,” report Adrian Ayalin on ABS-CBNnews.com.
Napoles clarified that Jeane is still in the U.S. and will arrive next week for a vacation. Jeane is likewise scheduled to visit her at her detention facility inside Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig.
The report noted: “Jeane was earlier charged by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) with violations of the National Internal Revenue Code (NIRC) for an alleged total tax liability of PHP32.06 million, inclusive of surcharges and interests, for taxable years 2011 and 2012.”
The report added that “BIR commissioner Kim Henares had said Napoles was able to acquire a condominium unit at the Ritz Carlton in Los Angeles, California worth PHP54.73 million; and has a share, equivalent to PHP1.49 million, in a Bayambang, Pangasinan property purchased in 2012.” However, Jeane, as the report indicated, “did not file any income tax return (ITR) in 2011 and 2012.”
It may be recalled that Jeane first became known to the public after Instagram photos showed her lavish lifestyle.
