Chef Cuit Kaufman of Borough, LES Bagels and my favorite, The Bowery, injects a lot of whimsy in his comfort food. He has fried sandwiches, has turned black beans into burgers, and has even grilled cakes. He manages to turn something good into something better, and it is no different with his restaurant group’s latest project, Skull & Bones in UP Town Center.
 
He recently rolled out an exciting menu composed of burgers, hotdogs and burritos. And as expected, it has creativity written all over them. Composed of breads and sausages made in house, his slew of dishes are sure to stir interest and make mouths water. Read below to see what I mean.


The Chuck Norris aka The Chili Cheesedog
All beef frankfurter hotdog, chipotle chili, chopped onions, cheddar cheese


The Eggs Benny Burger
All beef patty, smoked bacon, poached egg, bechamel sauce, nutmeg, whole wheat or brioche bun


The Godzilla Dog
Beef pork frankfurter, wasabi mayo, soy-sauteed mushrooms, carrot tempura, seaweed


The Grilled Cheese Burger
All beef patty, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, fresh sliced tomato, roasted tomato salsa, brioche bread, pan-seared in butter


The Macgruber-ger
Grilled chicken patty, Monterrey Jack cheese, sesame sautéed mushrooms, pico de gallo, fried noodles, spring onion, whole wheat or brioche bun lined with lemon aioli.
