We support gender equality — but this isn’t what we had in mind.

“A seven-man group led by a woman robbed the Romy Tapsilogan on Visitacion St., Bgy. San Joaquin in Pasig City at around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, March 30,” reports Arlene Rivera on Journal Online.

The report noted: “According to store owner Dony Sia, as well as store helpers Joselito Cantillep and Suzette Samson, they were busy serving customers when the woman first entered the store. She was followed by six men and asked for orders.”

After a few moments, one of the suspects announced the robbery.

According to Sia, Cantilep, and Samson, “the female suspect was the one ordering the men to haul and lock up the employees into the restroom.”

The suspects took PHP3,000 from the cash box, along with the cellphones, jewelry and other valuables of the people at the eatery.

After the robbery, the suspects quickly fled on a vehicle that had been parked outside the eatery.
