In celebration of the Madrid Fusion Manila, The Embassy of Spain in the Philippines and Ayala Malls drum up excitement and appetites by holding a six-day film festival showcasing both Spanish and Filipino movies with food as subjects.

The Spanish foodie film festival will run from April 21-26 at Cinema 3 of Greenbelt 3 and will screen a variety of full-length and short films that celebrate both cinema and gastronomy — something both participating countries are well known for.

In the line up are Agusti Villa’s 3055 Jean Leon, Jose Luis Lopez-Linares’ 2008 film El Pollo, El Pez y El Cangrejo Real (The Chicken, the Fish & the King Crab), Taba, El Juego en la Mesa (Taba, The Game on the Table) and Nerua, Un Viaje a la Esencia (Nerua, A journey to the essence). It will also show Cooking up a Tribute, which is about the last road trip of the Roca brothers in South America as well as Rekados, a Pinoy movie directed by.  Paolo Herras.

Below are trailers of three more movies that will be shown during the festival.
