How low can criminals go?

“A call center agent named Sixto Sunga, 37, has filed a complaint before the police after an unidentified robber stole the cash donation or ‘abuloy’ for the death of his father inside a funeral parlor in Pasig City,” reports Arlene Rivera on Journal Online.

According to Sunga, the incident happened on Fri, April 17, during the wake of his father inside the St. Claire Funeral Parlor on C. Raymundo Ave., Bgy. Maybunga.

The report noted: “Sunga told police he first discovered that his cellphone worth PHP8,000 was missing when he woke up at 6am. He immediately informed his sister, Lea, so they conducted an inspection on the valuables. They also found out that the ‘abuloy’ amounting to PHP89,000 placed inside the sling bag of his sister was also missing.”

The Sunga family informed the management of the funeral parlor, which called for police assistance. Police later theorized that the unidentified suspect may have entered the funeral parlor and pretended as a relative.

Unfortunately, the funeral parlor has no closed-circuit television camera (CCTV).
