May the man who hurt the kid get caught as soon as possible.

“A 12-year-old boy — who was identified only as ‘John’ — miraculously survived after being stabbed at least a dozen times in Tondo, Manila by a drug-crazed man,” reports Itchie G. Cabayan on Journal Online.

John is now confined to a hospital, while the suspect — who has been identified only by his alias “Cairo” — is being hunted by the police.

The report noted: “An initial investigation by the Manila Police District said that the incident took place at around 8pm along Prudencia Street near the corner of Coral Street.”

Apparently, when John ran into Cairo, he made a joke that the latter looked like he was high on drugs.

The report revealed that John’s remark angered the suspect. Cairo initially hit John in the nape. He then took out a fanknife and stabbed the boy repeatedly in various parts of the body.

When neighbors rushed to help John, Cairo fled the scene.
