The much-awaited return of Willie Revillame finally happened yesterday, May 10, 2015 when Wowowin premiered on GMA 7 at around 3:30 P.M.
He was gone for one year and seven months so he made sure his return was bongga.
His opening number involved some of the most beautiful female stars of the network: Lovi Poe, Winwyn Marquez, and Kylie Padilla.
“Ito pong programang ito ay para sa lahat ng kapus-palad, sa mga taong nangangarap, sa mga taong hindi nangingiti,” Willie said. “Ginawa ang Wowowin para sa mga taong naghahanap ng pag-asa. Sana po ang programang ito ay makapagbigay ng pag-asa, saya, ligaya, sa bawat pamilya. Sa bawat pamilyang ang tibok ng puso ay tunay, ang tibok ng puso ay pagmamahal. Dito po sa Kapuso magsisimula na muli ang tunay na pagmamahal, kahit na meron na siyang puso sa pagmamahal, magdadagdag pa po tayo ng lubusang pagmamahal sa ating mga Kapuso.”
What happened during the premiere? He gave away cellphones and TV sets to the audience, and lots of prizes through a variety of fun games, including “Bigyan mo ng Jacket,” where contestants pick questions from a jacket they’re wearing and win cash prize for every correct question.
One thing that viewers noticed is that Willie still hasn’t found that female co-host so that’s something a lot of people are still waiting for. Next week perhaps?
