Maegan Aguilar is now reportedly dating a 61-year-old man. This, following her controversial feud with her father, OPM icon Freddie Aguilar, over his marriage with a much younger woman.Citing showbiz writer Rey Pumaloy, Startalk reported over the weekend that Maegan’s current boyfriend is a fellow musician.
Maegan is 36 and has two children from a past relationship.
The reported romance comes six months after Maegan’s publicized spat with her former long-time partner Alexander “Ali” Sanchez, whom she accused of physically hurting her.
Maegan’s supposed new partner is only a year younger than her father, who, despite being estranged, expressed his support his daughter’s new relationship.
“Okay lang ‘yun, basta maligaya siya, ‘diba,” Freddie told “Startalk” in an interview. “Hindi ‘yung kasing edad nga niya tapos hindi naman maligaya. Wala namang problema. Basa ang hangad ko sa anak ko, si Maegan, ay kaligayahan.
He added: “Hindi na natin sila mapipigilan kung ano ang gusto nilang gawin sa buhay nila. Nandodoon na tayo, ginabayan na natin sila, so sila na ang bahala pagdating ng wastong edad kung ano’ng pipiliin nila.”
In May 2014, Maegan alleged that Freddie had been neglecting her and her children because of his relationship with now-wife Jovie Albao, who turned 18 last November.
Albao was only 16 when she and Aguilar got married on November 23, 2013 in Islamic rites in Buluan, Maguindanao, a month after the singer first admitted their relationship.
