As early as the third quarter, the Beermen showed they planned on winning Sunday’s game against the Star Hotshot.

“June Mar Fajardo and Arizona Reid each recorded a double-double and San Miguel Beer held of Star, 100-89, for its third straight win in the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup,” writes Mark Giongco on Inquirer.net.

The Hotshots finally pulled in late in the game, resulting for a more interesting second half. Technical fouls were called, as elbows went a-swinging. Arwind Santos was thrown out of the game with 9:34 minutes remaining.

Apart from having to get in between Arwind Santos and Hotshots import Marqus Blakely, they also “had to separate Santos and Sat head coach Tim Cone, who approached and had some words toward the former MVP,” continues the Inquirer report.

The Beermen now stands at 3-2, while the Hotshots slid back to 1-3.
