CNN recently revealed the results of its food-related poll, wherein they asked: “Which destination has the world’s best food?”
The results — which were published on Mon, Jun 15 — had the following countries as the top 10 answers:
1. Taiwan — 8,242 votes
2. Philippines — 1,528 votes.
3. Italy — 810 votes
4. Thailand — 470 votes
5. Japan — 443 votes
6. Malaysia — 265 votes
7. Hong Kong — 236 votes
8. India — 205 votes
9. Greece — 167 votes
10. — Vietnam 162 votes
On the list, adobo was mentioned as one of the highlights of Filipino cuisine.

The list has now become controversial, after Malaysian celebrity chef Datuk Redzuawan Ismail, who is more popularly known as “Chef Wan,” said he was skeptical about the list. He even went as far as to tag Filipino cuisine as “the worst food in Asia.”
