Pregnant woman who was hit by SUV in BGC hasn’t received an apology from the reckless drivers

Is an apology too much to ask? Or does it come from the same place a common sense and obedience for those reckless SUV drivers in BGC?

There are two things Australian expatriate Jacinta Coote never got, courtesy of the two reckless SUV drivers who hit each other and ran over her on May 12: the bananas she went out for, and an apology.

Remember that BGC incident in May that was fortunately caught on cam by photographer Gutsy Tuason and was made viral by Top Gear Philippines?

Two speeding SUVs hit each other and ran over a pedestrian at 11:30am on May 12. The pedestrian happened to be Coote, who was on her first trimester of her pregnancy.

“Jacinta suffered multiple fractures to her face, head and shoulder. For nearly a month, she was completely bedridden and dependent on nurses and her husband to feed her pureed food, give her medicine, and wash her. Due to the swelling in her brain, she suffered from excruciating head pain 14 hours a day,” writes T. Nguyen on Inquirer.net.

A little over a month since the accident, she can barely walk on her own.

The disgusting part? No one has said sorry to her.

You know what she got instead? Impaired vision, 22 permanent screws, five permanent titanium plates surgically placed on her face, plus emotional and physical trauma for the rest of her life.
