If you think you’ve had enough of the best sabunutan and confrontations in the past “mistress” teleseryes and movies, well think again.

Director Chito Roño is bringing some of the biggest names in showbiz for one movie. Kris Aquino, Claudine Barretto, Iza Calzado, Kim Chiu, and comedienne “Cheena”, will lead Etiquette for Mistresses, a film adaptation of Julie Yap-Daza’s book Etiquette for Mistresses and What Wives Can Learn From Them.

The movie will depict different kinds of mistresses, each actress will play the role of “the other woman” of different men. From the kabit of a business tycoon, to a TV personality, the film will tackle various types of mistresses.

In an interview with the press at the Star Cinema office, Kris shared excitedly, “Two sides of a mistress ‘yung makikita ninyo. Meron ‘yung palaban, nagwawala,” she said, pointing at Barretto, “tapos merong proper!” She added, “I think it will challenge, the viewers, di ba? Kasi makikita mo sarili mo or magagalit ka, or maawa ka. Pero it’s not possible na you won’t have emotions about it.

Iza also made it clear that Etiquette for Mistresses “is not glorifying nor judging” extra-marital affairs.

Kim shared she’s up for a challenge and her role is not far from her comfort zone.  At 25, shes’s the youngest among the female leads.

Moreover, Claudine emphasized there are lessons to learn in the movie for mistresses and wives as well. “May matututunan dito ‘di lang ang mga mistress, kung di mga asawa, pati na rin mga lalaki.” Claudine will be reuniting with Kris and Direk Chito Roño in this film after Sukob, which was shown 9 years ago.

There’s no premier date for the movie yet, but Kris mentioned it might be shown earlier than her movie Mr. and Mrs. Split, a Metro Manila Film Festival entry.
