Meet Herbert Chavez, a 37-year-old Superman fanatic from Calamba, Laguna, in the Philippines.
Just how big a fan?
He’s “undergone nose jobs, skin-whitening, liposuction, jaw realignment and fillers over the course of 18 years to make himself look like Clark Kent,” according to UK Mail Online. A total of 23 surgeries, if you’re looking for the exact figure.
Chavez also wears blue contact lens to reflect the blue shade of his superhero constume. To top it all off, he’s been “injecting his abs and chest with a filler-type product called MesoLipo, which is illegal in the US.”

You know how much he’s spent for all that? A whopping PHP300,000 (USD6,639).
Sadly, the MesoLipo isn’t doing the trick. Chavez has approached doctors to give him Superman’s “abs of steel” — he has more money to dish, guys! — but doctors have refused him.
“Doctors warned him that the risk of surgery was made even greater due to the ‘poison’ he had been injecting, and far outweighed the benefits of the procedure,” according to the report.
This has totally disappointed the Superman look-a-like.
Aww don’t feel too bad, Superman. At least you’re in the Guinness World Records for having the largest collection of Superman memorabilia.
