Well, the actor playing Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones, that is.
His name is Jason Momoa and he’s the first confirmed actor gracing the AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2015 (APCC), which will take place at the World Trade Center in Pasay from Sept 17-20.
Joining him in the first lineup of guests are celebrated Philippine comic book artist Whilce Portacio — remember Spawn?! — and Jeremy Shada, he of Adventure Time fame.
Of course, toys will play a big role at the event, with sculptor/painter/toy designer Chris Ryniak and mixed media artist Amada Spayd coming in. And what’s a comic convention without cosplayers?
APCC has partnered with Cosplay Authority Global Challenge and is now accepting entries from cosplayers around the world to be the next global Cosplay star.
“It is our goal to treat pop culture fans in Southeast Asia with a mega event that boasts of the best of the best in the areas of movies television, entertainment, comics, toys, collectibles, gaming, and cosplay. And out first lineup of stars prove just that,” says Rita Magnus, general manager of Universal Events and Entertainment.
