As tropical storm Egay exits, the weather bureau forecasts two more storms approaching the Philippines.

By noon on Mon, Jul 6, Egay had already moved away from land mass, crawling northward toward Taiwan at a speed of 7 kilometers per hous (kph). It was packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kph and gustiness of 90 kph.

PAGASA said there is a chance it could dissipitate completely by Wednesday. If not, it will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Thursday.

The response cluster of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Egay was not a very strong storm.

As of press time, they have not received any reports on casualties.

Region 1, one of the most affected by Egay’s nonstop rains, has yet to submit its report to the national level.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development noted its local and regional units were able to respond without having to ask for help at the national level.

While not catastrophic, Egay still brought heavy rains in the northern and western sections of the country.
