At around 12:45am on Tue, Jul 7, a Cebu City call center agent who was about to go on was gunned down by an unidentified assailant right outside his office.
Deogracias Guda III, 21, was about to start his 1am shift in a call center company at the IT Park in Cebu City when a man dressed in casual clothes called out his name and approached him.
When Guda came forward, the man shot the victim in the chest.
The incident happened near the entrance of Guda’s office.
Witnesses said they saw the gunman run towards a motorcycle after the shooting.
Police said Guda was still undergoing training and usually took a motorcycle to go to work.
They are looking into personal grudge as a possible motive for the incident.
They noted the killer knew Guda’s schedule and even called the victim’s name.
Police are also looking into the possibility of a love triangle between a third party and the victim’s current partner.
