The scheduled water interruption of Maynilad Water Services in Metro Manila and some parts of Cavite is set to begin on Monday, August 10.

The water service interruption is set to begin at 1pm on Mon, Aug 10, until 10pm on Thu, Aug 13. This will continue at 1pm on Aug 17 until 3pm on Aug 18.

Among the areas that will be affected are some barangays in Caloocan, Manila, Pasay, Parañaque, Makati, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Cavite City, Bacoor City, Imus City, and some towns in Kawit, Rosario and Noveleta in Cavite.

In an interview with dzMM on Sun, Aug 9, Maynilad Water Services Inc. spokesperson Grace Laxa said the service interruption is due to its pipeline realignment.

Laxa also assured that there are 35 water trucks that will go around the affected area to ration its residents with water. She said the water which will be distributed may be used for cooking and drinking.

Sana habaan natin ang ating pasensya at kahinahunan,” Laxa said.

Laxa said there will be a “window time” during the service interruption from August 14 until 16 for residents to replenish their water supply.

She also advised residents on what to do in case they notice a water discoloration during the “window time” of the service interruption.
