This battle will just keep getting worse and worse.

“As expected, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s request before the Supreme Court (SC) to move the venue of the libel case filed against him in Makati City has generated a reponse from the camp of his nemesis, Vice President Jejomar C. Binay,” reports Ellson Quismorio in Manila Bulletin.

In a two-page letter addressed to SC administrator Jose Midas Marquez, Trillanes said he wanted to move the venue of the hearing of the case that the Vice President filed against him from the sala of Makati regional trial court (RTC) Branch 133 presiding judge Elpidio Calis “to any of the courts in Metro Manila.” Trillanes claimed that having the trial in Makati City “can endanger the lives of the defendants in the case.”

Atty. Rico Quicho, the Vice President’s spokesman for political affairs, had this to say: “Trillanes appears to believe that the support of the Makati constituents can be a possible source of danger for him, the 13 other respondents, and even witnesses that may be called to testify. If that is not paranoia, I don’t know what it is.”
