The ratings game is heating up and it’s Eat Bulaga!‘s #AlDub sensation that is captivating Filipinos in Mega Manila.
The noontime show Eat Bulaga! registered its highest ever rating for the year with its August 12 episode, at 36.1% according to the latest statistics from AGB Nielsen Philippines featured in a report from PEP.ph.
The record-breaking day featured the near-meeting of the AlDub love team. Alden Richards failed to meet Maine Mendoza, or Yaya Dub, face to face as he was unable to complete Lola Nidora’s “extra challenge”.
That episode ranked even higher than GMA-7’s Lenten presentation.
It also overwhelmed the competition as It’s Showtime only managed to get 8.8% that day.
Eat Bulaga!‘s surge in ratings from Aug 9-12, 2015 were so noticeable that they owned 3 spots in AGB Nielsen Philippines’ Top 10 highest ratings for 2015 in the single episode category.
The Aug 10 episode placed on sixth place, while the Aug 11 episode was in the No. 4 slot.
