PBA Legends have called Kobe Paras ‘The Future’ and a ‘complete package.”
They’re big and loaded claims, but one that several PBA legends confidently made during Saturday’s Nike Rise Legacy Night.
“In a game featuring the past, present and future stars in Philippine basketball, Paras came out as the showstopper,” writes mark Giongco on the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Alvin Patrimonio called him ‘the future’ noting how much Kobe has improved since moving to the US and playing for the Los Angeles Cathedral high School and committing to the University of California at Los Angeles.
Says Allan Caidic, “I can see the big improvement in his shooting because back when he was still playing for Greenhills, he’s more of a scoreer and a slasher but now he has the three-point shooting.”
Meanwhile, Oslen Racela says “Very bright future for him. His athleticism is number one. His leaping ability off the charts. And then he has a nice shooting touch as you can see. For a big guy like him, he can also bring down the basketball. Basically, he’s the complete package.”
