Comedienne Mahal, who always makes the headlines when she formally introduces her new flame, is not a stranger to harsh criticism. So when Rated K filmed her while Skyping with her man, she issued a stern warning.

“Sa pag-ibig, huwag ninyo akong pakialaman. Kung may gagawin ako, tigilan nyo ako ha,” Mahal said.

So, who exactly is the new man in Mahal’s life?

His name is Aries Navarro, an OFW in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Aries is a widower and has a 9-year-old son with his late wife.

“Maasikaso, mabait at gwapo pa. Sobrang swerte, parang mahihimatay ako,” Mahal said as she described Aries.

Mahal also assured the public that this is not a fleeting interest as she and Aries have known each other since 2004. They lost contact, but were able to restore the lines of communication in 2013. Now, to stay connected, Mahal talks to Aries via video chat everyday.

Friends and family have also approved of the couple’s relationship and are even calling them ‘MaRies’.

In fact, Mahal has also taken on the role of being a mother to Aries’ 9-year-old son. Right now, the child only knows Mahal as “Ate” or older sister, but Aries hopes to change all that soon.

And his message to Mahal?

“Andito lang ako, Mahal. Maaasahan mo ako. Ipagtatanggol kita, ipaglalaban kita. Ako ang magiging inspirasyon mo,” Aries said.
